That is absolutely awesome! Truly one of the most marvellous kits I've ever seen, if not the best. I'm sure we've all dreamed of owning an RS200 and now you could have something which, whilst not the real deal, would still be a great drive and a fantastic looker. It's a rep

AWD gear would be a bit much for me, but would you be able to plumb in a Cosworth YB engine, or an MR2 Turbo lump I wonder? Or even an 850 T5 engine!
Not exactly PH but a massive Kenilworth truck heading up Beamish bank yesterday 4pm. Sure its from the Consett area and also a vintage car transporter with 10 or 12 old austins etc on.
Eta found an old photo of the truck!

AWD would be awesome, but costs ++++++!
You can drop in all sorts of engines in there: my one has a Camry 3.0V6 which is nice Guy has a 4.2 Audi V8 project on the go - apparently it drops in nicely! Though why you'd use a duff Ford unit when you can go reliable MrT power...See woodsport in Durhamshire - he's doing 2GRFE conversions which is a 3.5V6 supercharger... 350bhp. (something like that anyway..)
Believe me, the MR2 handles very nicely, and there's tons of off the shelf bits for them like cages, brakes, suspension etc etc... It's makes a lot of sense as a donor car, and you can do it simple at first, then mod it as you go.

My first thought for the engine would have been an MR2 Turbo engine. I had a 1994 MR2 Turbo, just in standard tune, but the engine was bombastic. Utterly fantastic little thing, but I thought of the Cosworth engine to 'make it Ford' - that and it's easily tunable if you're a nutter! The Audi 4.2 V8 engine is also fantastic, I had one in my A8 4.2 and it was one of my favourite things about the car. I imagine it would be good fun in something smaller like this. You could get one for peanuts now, just buy an old A8 for £1000 or so. The engines are as tough as old boots.AWD would be awesome, but costs ++++++!

If I wasn't a mechanical cack hander I'd probably want to have a go at something like this. But in reality, I don't have the time or the skill to make one myself. I hope they are a big hit, as I would like to buy a well sorted one in a few years once someone has had their fun with it! I look forward to seeing you on the roads!

Yep that things regularly parked up there, it belongs to the guy who owns/franchises the Kilimanjaro restaurant but he lives up stockton way. He normally likes to give it the beans up and down linthorpe rd and it sounds as good as it looks!
Didn't the owner of Yakuza own a Lambo as well? Used to park it outside.Think this was green or orange though..
Morning spot....Black 430 on A19 north near Peterlee. Plate was F1 ***
