Thanks all, I had a superb day, just what I needed to take my mind off the previous days 'events'.
Look on the bright side, you know what's wrong and you have thoughts on to fix it. You'll soon have a smile back on your face.

I'm surprised no one has said "it" yet.

OK I'll spill the beans. Carole (stardust) was first out in our Chimaera. byff was desperate to prove his manhood and didn't like the idea of a woman being faster than him. Carole, being kind to him decided that she should do the first five mins with the handbrake on.

Still I'm amazed that we didn't boil the brakes, It goes to show how poor the handbrake is on Chimaeras

Um, are photos likely to be added to the web? I'd like to see them but don't see the mileage in buying a CD full of them myself (I'm not fussed about full res/high quality you see)
No I don't want Ian's work put on here for free. The few we have seen were put there because Ian knew we would be eager to see something.

Ian put a lot of effort and time into this and deserves to reap some reward. Sorry Stefan but I'm only trying to be fair to everyone.

....Finally, would be interested in photos.
Why not join us at Shafto's on the 30th Sept. Ian will be there and will have the photo CD's with him. You'll find us a friendly lot with a passion for cars so you should fit in well.

Blue 'Netta with racing decals and little or no rear view mirrors me thinks. I thought the safest (and advised on track days) place to overtake is on the straight on the left side of the slower car.

Mike does say sorry for that one. The other thing about this day is that there were novices on the track. This was the first time that Mike had been out on track and simply didn't see you (he wasn't going that quick and you were). Just because the car had stickers on it, didn't mean it had a racing driver in it.

In his defence though, as the incident occurred into a corner, was there really enough straight left, considering the mixed experience of all drivers.

Edit - for clarity - He does admit that he made a mistake and was more relieved than anybody else that no damage was done.

Lets just call it a trackday encounter. Nobody intended anything and no damage done.

Anyone from here going to Rockingham trackday on Sunday?
No, one trackday a year is enough for me. That way it keeps it special, sort of like a petrolhead Christmas.

Can some kind sole post a short clip on the net? I would love to see it
Not that simple as it happens. It was taken with an analogue camera and converted to DVD via a DVD recorder. It never made it to avi or mpg
