A quick note on routes to Matlock/Starkholmes... When travelling from Derby City, I find the B5023 to be far more entertaining than the A6. Any other good roads in from the South?

If you have a Tom-Tom just tell it to take you on the shortest route and see what happens. If boring go off route far enough to force it to re-calc. Usually finds some places only known to locals ...

Allow a couple of days for the journey though. And take a survival pack just in case.

I that a cue for me to to say something like "I was very grateful to that dreadfully slow and erratic Transit that enabled me to stay close enough to get a good view of your rear."?

Or not?

I've always thought that the Corrado had a mighty fine rear end.

And there was me thinking that it was only my dad who called it the wireless. He's 80 by the way

I thought you intended a nice subtle observation by the use of 'wireless'. I liked it. If I were you I would stick with it.

So what's the deal then? Are most people watching the football? Will they have it on in the pub - could watch it there if so?
