2013 - East Midlands Meet - 1st Tuesday of the Month
Discussion
I enjoyed the talk, once I found out where it was.
I know I keep saying in, and it's probably obvious to those that know the setup and other people there, but as someone turning up that knows nobody else there, I had no idea if I was with the right bunch of strangers, or in the right room, or had I just barged into somebody's private function!
For new folk, having the room and organiser signed would have helped me anyway
I'll be back, parked next to the infamous Balmoral, but never got to speak as no idea who anybody was!

Hello, we were sat the other side, near the speakers wife.
When I was asking what the setup was, what I was loking for was soemthing like, we're in the function room, sign on the door, just something so I knew I was in the right place.
Spoke to a few people anyway, not a big problem or anything, and I'll not be the new boy next time!

Bertie, I'm sorry you missed us, I was looking out for your CGTC to say hello and introduce you to the gang.
What car were you in? A black Maserati parked in-between me and Andymadmak (blue Maserati) and a black 612 was on my other side.
Next time, we'll make sure we can identify each other.

I parked on the near side of another Bentley, a green Mulsane I think, I assumed that was you? What car were you in? A black Maserati parked in-between me and Andymadmak (blue Maserati) and a black 612 was on my other side.

Probably was me, mine's a green Turbo R, I think it was the only SZ car there. But there was a Scaglietti on one side of me and a Maserati on the other side early doors. Someone must have left early if you parked next to me. 3rd Tuesday meet is at Codnor, I think we're going across the road to Jeera for a curry on that one.

Hopefully we'll get our first decent turnout of the year.
Yeah, right! You didn't miss much folks, the turnout was poor, the food & the service was poor too (understatement).
The venue really doesn't seem up to handling the few that were there anyway, no way are they going to manage in the summer. I'm certainly not going to bother to attempt to eat here again on classic car night.
I felt sorry for the speaker.
It was all a bit rubbish really
According to their website it is on. http://www.thewhitehartmoorwoodmoor.co.uk/
