Just back from Nottingham and this thread pops up. I met up with some family for a few days and went to the Stereophonics concert.

Over the Easter hols we want to show the children some of the visible caves in Nottingham.
Aside from the cave tour, where are there interesting ones that can be accessed? I seem to recall the Hand & Heart has some, the Bell on Market Square? Any others worth a look?

The eldest has mocks and is frustratingly diligent with his revision. Over the entire three weeks we managed about 4 meals out.
I, however, was on your manor on Wednesday night. I cruised around for half an hour or so. It's a fascinating locale.

Something that occurred to me: Some of the bigger places there are quite pricey, I imagine, and I assume home to the "well to do" - you probably. But where do those people go shopping? Clumber Street and House of Ashley? I doubt it.
Plenty of independents in Nottingham (probably). Shopping is not my thing, unless it's for beer or cars. 2 sMoKiN bArReLs said:

The Park Tunnel was never open when I was in Nottingham, it's on my list.
I'm waiting for mask mandates on planes to be dropped before I look at booking a flight, September would be the earliest.
Father died a week ago, not unexpected as he was 94, so I've booked the plane ticket to visit the UK (from NZ).I'm waiting for mask mandates on planes to be dropped before I look at booking a flight, September would be the earliest.
I should be back in Nottingham on 2nd/3rd/4th June (High School Half Term) - anyone around then?
Hopefully my official NZ mask exemption will be OK everywhere.
As my mum lives in Scotland I'm flying into Glasgow - first time ever.

Virtually nobody in England wears a mask anywhere. So you should be fine.I should be back in Nottingham on 2nd/3rd/4th June (High School Half Term) - anyone around then?

I saw quite a few wearing masks in Beeston earlier, but there's no requirement to wear one.
It's either random or dependant on where you are. Old people together are more likely to wear them, on their own they're more likely to wear them under their chin. My (30s) partner will wear one in some places but not others, I'll avoid them if I can.Gassing Station | Midlands | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
