Ooh... I had forgotten that little detail. I'm sure the walk will either kill us or cure us.

The good news is i'm not takeing you over the Crib Goch ridge, awesome as it is (i did it Easter Saturday) its a really long haul and in places the ridge is only 18" wide with the best part of 1000ft down one side and 1500ft down the otherside...shear.

If we arrive early enought then it will either be the Miners path or the Pyg path from Pen-y-Pass. otherwise it will be find somewhere in LLanberis to park and take the tourist route up, which is flat (well as flat as it can be climbing a mountain), and pretty much follows the railway up.

With the amount of light about these days ,and assuming its a good day, we can take our time...im going to work on a contigency plan incase its 70mph winds and blizzards.

Regards
Iain

I await the post discussing the technical merits of the helicopter that the mountain rescue team employ.

Who knows, if you promise the aircrew a blast in your Tivs and Porkers, they'll probably give you an extra long flight, taking in the best parts of Snowdonia and the Welsh coast.

Assuming its still daylight, of course.

Yup thats the one, the top one is towards the end, and you waddle your way along the top of that face that is heavily in shadow, as i think is shown in the second shot looking the other way.

That sounds like a plan to me! We will have to try that idea, I have always wanted a ride in a helicoptor

Heres another pic taken looking over the top of the ridge

Note the two climbers stopped for a brew on top of that pinnacle of rock That really killed my sense of achievement of scrambling along the top I was scared enough leaning over to take the pic
