Any chance of a spare passenger seat down to VW? Can meet you lot at the services, but the Focus would be a bit out of place. Also have the added benefit of knowing exactly where VW is...

v15ben - am in Lenton too, if you need a ride to the M1 services?

I can give you a lift in the back of the Aston, with Balmoral green and I...

...however it failed its MOT today. Now the race is really on! I need to get if fixed and MOT'd before the 5th. If not, how does an R-reg Mondeo sound? Its the GLX model....

WilliamP, sounds like a great offer - can't resist a good GLX!

Seriously, hope it gets through the MOT, would be fantastic.

It failed on two counts: first is the handbrake (always a weak point on disc-braked cars). Very easy to fix, simply adjust.

Second the washer bottle didnt work. This could mean one of two things: either the washer bottle itself is not working (easy £30 fix), of the earth is out (which involves removing most of the dashboard). Oh joy...

Anyhow. Here is a photo. Not sure how to host it, so you might need to cut and copy

Get the handbrake fixed, dont worry about the washers, I will lean out of the window on the way down with a washing up liquid bottle

If it all goes pear shaped, we will consider the merits of Mondeo GLX versus Fabia vRS and decide on wheels at Junction 22, maybe we could all pile into the Bimmer?

God I miss the Bentley, cant wait to get him back

I don't know, looks like it's up to us with
boring German saloon cars to get everybody there.
