Hi chaps/esses I don't think I've met any of you except pierscoe (through a drunken fug) and seeing as there are loads of us who live in sunny nottinghamshire what about a mutual get together to talk about cars and tell fanciful stories of car based derring-do? some of you I know through posting on GG (emmaP, nevpugh) but mostly I don't know anybody else so it seems like high time we had a p1ss up - what say the PH massif?

What the basic plot anyway? are we just going to have a few drinks and do the rounds of a few of the nicer pubs, or is it going to be a heavy session with a visit to a nightclub or three and on into the early hours of Sunday morning? Need to know how to dress for the clubs as I havent been in one since 1937.

lager, food? or somewhere that does tapas so some may drink while others eat? then more lager then cookie club!

Cookie club sounds a good call!

Its funny how, at approaching 5.00pm on a Friday, as i sit looking out of the office over a cold-looking Nottm Market Square, ones thoughts turn to.......

whereabouts are you? I'm in haart on upper parliament st...the thought of a pint or nine in the bell inn then a spot of cookie clubbage fills me with anticipation! the girls!! the beer!! the potential for making an arse of myself!!

Some website review of Cookie Club said:

A bit like having your end of term party in someone else's house: you can get pissed-up on cider and make a tit of your self without having to worry about cleaning the carpet in the morning. Small and pretty dingy, The Cookie Club doesn't hold much appeal for the rsiing ranks of Nottingham's elitist bar dwellers, but it manages to just about get by without them, thanks all the same.

DressCode None
Clientele mainly students

That'll do

that might be a few years old, the cookie club moved from tiny premises to reasonably sized ones about 2 years ago

just had a look at the website you quoted - it is a review of the old venue (it says it's on pelham street and it is now on st james street) but apart from the size aspect it's still all pretty much accurate!
