the radiator cannot cope on it's own without the fans unless I do over 90mph for a steady distance..

the first traffic jam or set of lights and it's warped cylinder head time

otherwise I would!

I need a mechanic to come out to the car ideally but there still seems to be none in nottingham! why? seems very odd.

That's the V8 Range Rover engine Tom, right?

There must be any number of people who know that motor inside out?

quite possibly, but none of them want to come out and fix the damn thing!

got two garages working out the trade in value because i've almost decided to take the plunge (after some handy advice) and get an elise instead, not a good idea having 5,4 or even 3 cars really at the moment so I thought i'd combine a few of them into a practical reliable little screamer...

...got to decide whether I want the basic one or the toyota engined one

If it's just fans that need sorting, they're a piece of pi$$ to sort Tom

If you want i'll make up a little loom for you so alls you have to do is connect to the positive and negative on the battery, hook up the fans and cable tie back the extra wiring. It will be a little on/off switch that you hide under the dash, a bit heath robinson but will do the job till the next midlands meet when i'll do it properly for you. All you'll need is a 10 or 13mm spanner for the battery terminals and a pair of pliers to cut the exisiting terminals off the fans.

Iain

that sounds v. interesting, would be good!
