I will be, if anyone wants to tag along there more than welcome. Will be trusting my new tom tom to get me there so shouldnt have any problems.

Just say so if you do and we can sort out where to meet!

On the 5th February that is!

Yes, i'm going to go. Early start from Notts then? I wont be in the Bentley as its still in bits, will be going in the Skoda. Which I may well dump and ride shotgun with someone if I can, as the Furby isn't that exciting.

Shall we arrange a meeting point and time?
yeah can do, i was thinking of going down the m1, i think thats the fastest way, trusty old tom tom i've just got, although if anybody knows a better way...

yeah between 8 and half 8 was when i was thinking also.

we could meet at some services on the M1 or somewhere else? i think theres a services between junction 25 & 24 southbound, tibshelf i think its called. or we could meet at the junction 24 moto services on the way to donnington, i think that may be easier, i dont know though, open to suggestions! smile

sit around, look at all the cars, talk about them, take photos, bout it really. it is one of the larger meets though, last year i think there were over 200 cars with anything you can think of being there, i didnt go though unfortunately, hopefully this one will be even better!

Hi,

Thanks for pm Polarbert.
Think i may follow on down as well, live in Lincoln.
Will follow you chaps down, have tomtom 5.1 on my own PDA as well, is pretty good.

Cheers

Paddy

right, we will have to arrange somewhere convenient for all of us, we dont want it to be junction 24 services do we? just thinking because some people will have to travel up the motorway to get there

maybe just off junction 22 then?

i've been looking and tried to link on multimap.co.uk, but couldnt seem to do it without a postcode, so decided on google maps

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=leic

junction 22 markfield services

how does that sound? if we plan to meet there at 8.15am? or 8.30am? i dont mind.

let me know what you think of the place

I probably wasn't paying enough attention - I assumed you were going to VW via the Tunnels. I'm going via the Tunnels.

Not sure what I'll drive down yet - probably the Boss Cerbera. Won't be the Espada though - too early in the year.

i wasnt planning on it, just my tom tom has said that down the m1 is the most direct route to M1, can do the tunnels if other people want to.

if not you can still join us down the m1!

Bert, the route is a doddle, wether sat nav or not, needs nothing more than a cursory glance at a map. If I am with William, will hold the map, so just follow us, easy marker.

If the Aston isnt fettled, will jump in with you or the bimmer.

sure thing! but im travelling with a mate, so it will have to be a bit cramp inside

Tunnels?

it was just going to be a convoy direct to VW, as theres not that many of us, but if you wanna join us for the run down the M1 and then split off for the tunnel run that would be fine

or i could change the intial run to meet up with the people tunneling, but we would have to see what everyone else wanted to do

Uhu... maximum hoonage though

Some interesting things/cars for the run. They'll be at VW but you'd enjoy running with them.

Gruffy

i would be up for it i guess, but then i will get to run with them at you know what on you know when with you know who

6am? i think if i was goin on my own i would (i'm hardcore you see! ) but i doubt that my mate i'm taking, and the other 2 in the convoy would be up for a 6am start
