I used to go to sidney stringer secondary school in hillfield's very rough school if i must say so (not meant to offend BTW)
i think the only good thing to shout about in Cov is the transport museum! well to us PHer's in Cov it is.

Yeah, i've only been here about 12 months for a masters at cov uni (check profile) and i used to live in Newcastle where i did my 1st degree. God i miss the Toon!

I agree about the Cov trans museum ,its not bad overall. We could try and organise a mini-midlands meet at the museum for some of the PH massive (presuming they haven't all been before)?

G

i find this weird youve came from newcastle,to Cov ,m from cov but suport newcastle...even though not a footy fan....anyhoo the transport mueum at night is a seriously lovely site, would love to arrange a meet at night, looks awesome with the blue-light's n all,mini-midland's meet sound's a good idea!

Don't think it's designed for vehicluar access though. Obviously from your pic it's possible, but from what I remember from my last visit you'd have to drive over the kerb and pavement. Maybe you could check next time you're there.

just been there but forgot my camera,to access you have to go round the back of the museum and then you have to remove bollard's then your in,me thinks.

wavey Christ... where have you lot been hiding.

I've been here for two years now - well, term time atleast - I'll be city centre based from the 23rd again. You *CAN'T* have missed me. If you have ever seen a light blue Cerb rumbling around Cov, its my Dad... if you've ever seen a Smart car in bright blue and silver (now all black) its me. If you've seen a prat wobbling around Ikon, chances are it was me. If you were in A+E last week over night, that was me eek ... the list goes on.

Definately up for a Cov PH meet...

Charlie66 or something like that (top bloke, mainly in the GT racing forums, verrry knowledgeable) is studying Motorsport Engineering here too, despite living in the same building as him for a year, I havent actually met him, must change that soon.

we've seen that blue cerb'y around!

Firstly we would need to take into account how many people are coming, then we can form around that.
so should we start a list off?
And please recomend good Pub's etc etc....

All,

Can I suggest the Royal Oak in Bagington or the Bulls Head at Meriden. Both more agreeable than any Coventry pub. The Bulls Head has the added attraction of Shirleys Porsche over the road. I'd suggest that one of those pubs may be a nicer place to meet. Neither is more than 10 mins from the city centre and both have big car parks etc etc.

Cheers
Matt

The bull's head is a good meeting place,as WM,TVR,CC meet there, and i think it is a very big car park being able to cope with our need's,the food is good, the drink is good(well the pop is for me but my dad say's the beer is better than that pi55y crap you get in town...)
