Looking for a nice Midlands Prem Trav Inn!

Every so often we have a bit of a get together whereby date is fixed, place is fixed and people simply book a Travel Inn room and turn up in the bar about 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

We historically have these dos at the Green Man at Brackley Hatch (Silverstone) however, this has gone off over the past 12 months. We have also done the one at Weedon crossroads near Daventry which is ok.

Does anyone have any recomendations for any others around the Banbury / Coventry / Milton Keynes / Leamington Spa area.

It must:

- be connected to a decent pub for both beer and food.
- have a large, safe, reasonably set back from the road, car park.
- this usually means it needs to be a little out of town, although the option to be within a short taxi ride into town might be worth having, but not essential.

Any ideas gratedfully received as without knowing the places in question I'm a bit in the dark. ta!

Oy, haven't you got any work to do!

It will be last weekend in Jan ... but it's a "where" I could do with. If we can't find an alternative then we'll go for Weedon (even if they aren't too keen on us playing midnight Murderball!)

The Leamington Bar and Grill would be my suggestion, travel lodge and great resturant attached, and in the middle of leamington.

Thanks Chris but a large, secure car park set back a bit from the road is fairly important considering the cars that we will be parking there.

Looks interesting, how pricy is the bar and restaurant?

er, £140 a room! and I suspect steak pie and chips may be a tad more than £6.99

This one looks quite interesting ... Holiday Inn Express ... any idea what the pub is like.

Basically we need a decent pub as we will be drinking and socialising in it for 10 hours or so with decent but not silly money food, but not a "food only" type pub if you see what I mean. It's nice to just be able to relax and chat without having to sit at a dinner table.

Thanks for the help so far .. you are naturally quite welcome to join us ... you might end up finding yourself booking a Hoon to Scotland, or Isle of Man, or Spain or somewhere though!

Please don't go to too much trouble Chris. We have a known option of the one at Weedon, I was just wondering if someone in the area could say ... hang on, I've been to this one, it's great, type of thing.

It needs to be a Premier Travel Inn type set up that will have plenty of room availability as some people do not book until a week before. there are usually between 20 and 30 of us drinking / eating / playing midnight footie!

Thanks once again for your help so far
