I visited today for my second time, I have arranged with various car marque clubs I belong to for a mid-week lunch time gathering at the Hut. Being a bit of a tight git and semi-retired midweek lunchtime visits suit me.
Each time so far I have been more than happy with the food.
I've also found out that Mike who ran the Pub back in the day when Pistonheads South Coast met there for Breakfast Club and Pub Club gatherings.
On a side note I have a serious allergic reaction to eggs and it was refreshing to note that when I ordered my food I was asked if I had any food allergies and provisions were made accordingly.
I was looking at some photos the other day from when we moved over to lyndhurst when he moved pubs back around 2013.

I was speaking to others recently and they were saying the burger van and loomies have seemed busier some evenings than caffeine and machine. Maybe it will pickup over summer?

Regarding south coast pub clubs they’re still going but now at the pub with no name.

I hope the place succeeds, as I prefer day time mid week gatherings when it's quieter.
Don't seem to find the time for evening gatherings these days.

They are? Last one I went to was when I had my Boxster back in 2011 with my daughter who was only a couple of months old. That was at the Meon Hut.

It’s a way to try and weed out troublemakers. Problem posting on here was anyone could see it is my understanding.

Does anyone have any photos of me leaving the Crown Stirrup on my Honda Rune motorbike at that time?
I know one of the regular crew took loads of really good photo's at the time I think his name was Andy.

We’re at Caffeine and Machine. It’s a Friday night, the weather is nice, there are only about 6 other cars here. That doesn’t bode well for the future. The place is practically empty.

It's usually busy on a weekend but I think the ticketing thing puts people off, it certainly does me and the people i know who live locally. There are too many good pubs in the area to make C&M worthwhile when its a tenner just to turn up.

Ok, £11 for a large glass of wine that is £9/bottle online, and my bottle of Fanta was £4! I guess that’s how they’re making their money.

We only came this evening because you didn’t need tickets, wouldn’t come on a night where you do.

My friend has just fully refurbished The Milbury, not far from Meon Hut, he is getting lots of lovely cars there, Jason Plato parked up a nice McLaren the other day and there was a Bentley of the blower type last weekend.

Say Hi to Tanith and Clive from Toby and mention pistonheads, Clive is a real pistonhead.

Popped in Saturday after the Lanzante open day with friends. Was pretty dead and just had no atmosphere or interesting cars, despite being quiet still had to pay £5 a car to park up, I would normally refuse but friends wanted to meet there. I won’t be in a rush to head back.

I nearly popped up to check it out on Sunday but the sunny weather led me back home to the garden and some beers. Glad I didn’t bother judging by this thread.

Apparently Saturday is their busy day. You should have parked in the lay-by next door.

The themed/organised times/days seem to be busier (free or not), just the luck of the draw, I guess.

Its 20 minutes from mine so I am certainly glad its there.

Apparently it was Japanese Saturday when I was there. Think there was no more than 10 cars of which 3 of them were GR Yaris’s (mine included).

Assuming Clive is the landlord, can't be that much of a PistonHead, as he declined hosting our PubClub meetings there.

Trying to decide whether its worth popping up for an early (09:00) visit with my lad tomorrow (bank holiday, so its £10...)

Don't fancy paying a tenner if there are only a handful of cars there! Anyone off here planning to go?
