HELP! Mobile mechanic needed!!
Discussion
Does anyone know a decent mobile mechanic/auto electrician who would cover the Netley Abbey area?
I've been laid up at my dad's after surgery on my ankle and the roof on my Peugeot 206cc has stopped working through lack of use. My brother's taken a look and we suspect one of the micro switches in the boot. The car drives great but I can't get it to a garage as I've transferred the insurance on to my new car....I've had to buy an auto so I can get back to work while my ankle is healing. So frustrating as it's a great runner and the roof has always worked perfectly! Sods law and no doubt down to lack of use where it's been parked up since my ankle op in November.
But I digress....anyone know a mobile mechanic??

Just get any local garage to repair it. They can collect on their own trade insurance.
Will give that a go. The problem is I don't really know any garages down here, so hard to know who to trust, especially as a girl, I've had a few issues with garages thinking they can take the pee :-(. So the next question is... anyone know a decent, honest garage in the area?BrotherMouzone said:
Re: mobile mechanic, google 'rw automotive Southampton'. Used him (Ryan) before for changing wheel bearing and brakes.
Called him today, seems like a nice guy but he wasn't up for doing it. Apparently Peugeot roof mechanisms can take forever to diagnose and he felt a Peugeot garage was probably the best option. I'm only asking £1250 for the car though, could end up costing me more than that to fix it at a main dealer! I've been on the 206cc forum and found a tip on how to 'reset' the roof mechanism so going to try that next. Fingers crossed!! I'm sure it's an electrical problem and not cables/hydraulics, so fingers crossed!Gassing Station | South Coast | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
