M27 Whiteley Junction markings

Slightly niche posting but wondered if anyone else has to try and negotiate the total clusterfk they've made of the lanes now on the roundabout at this junction ?
Specifically I'm talking about if you're coming from Segensworth, you now use the centre and right hand lanes on the roundabout to go round towards Portsmouth and join the M27. I've always thought this needed to happened as this is where most of the traffic is going, however as you go round the roundabout, all of those in the middle lane just stay in the middle lane and all those in the right hand lane end up fighting trying to get in otherwise they end up in the A27 lane back to Segensworth.
Won't make much sense unless you experience it regularly but just wondered if anyone else has come across it.

I drove across the Whiteley junction yesterday from Segensworth to Whiteley at evening rush hour, it was no better.
In fact, drivers are now using the left hand 'Whiteley only' lane to just drive all the way round the roundabout towards M27 Portsmouth as they know it's clear, the middle lane remains absolutely rammed
