Corner House, Wrightington Classic Car monthly meet
Discussion
I agree, great turnout, and nice to see so many turning out that early in the morning especially on Easter Sunday. Nice to see so many great classics, not just your common as muck MGBs, Midget's and Moggy Minors, but also Morgan's, Austin Healey 3000, MGA's, TR6, TR2, Lotus Esprit, Scimitar GTC, Series 2 E-Type Jag 2 plus 2, Ferarri's, and many more. Does the meet include replacas/kit cars?, if weather good for next time will be there in the E-Type Jag replica.
Some great cars. For me i loved the 1990 ford RS Turbo (i was 14 so poster car). That was absolutely mint and a real credit to its owner. As was the Sierra Cosworth. All the other cars are interesting and its nice to see them out and about and people chatting. If you get the chance its well worth a visit. Will try and get the special on the car park next time or bring something German.
I agree common as muck is abit harsh to call them, there were some lovely MGB's there, particularly the mint red roadster with the cream tauneau cover, and that bright yellow rubber bumper roadster caught my eye. I think it's because they're still very much affordable to most people as a classic sportscar and are cheap to run and parts are relatively cheap and available.
thanks for that Kenny, will defo pop in next time past yours. hope you find a good Porsche when the 7goes. the Spyder i told you about this morning has now sold. it took all of about 4 hours to sell but at 36 it was a give away, some with low milage and manual are going for 50. that 993 Ron and Joe came in was nice.
