Went for a blat in the Elise after work tonight and saw a Carver One nr Otley, think that's a rare spot!
Also passed your old 5 Series Ben, that's not a bad road you live at the end of.
Found some proper tarmac rally roads near Blubberhouses and enjoyed revisiting my old loop around Carleton - Laneshaw Bridge - Haworth.

Saw a black Panda 100hp on the Skipton bypass at about 3.45pm, first one I've seen since I bought my wife one last month.

Odd, I saw a black one heading up the A1 on Sunday, first one I've seen in years, they seemed to be everywhere when they came out.
They only made 2000 RHD ones so they weren't but I know what you mean. I haven't seen one in years before buying this one and now have seen a couple in 4 weeks.Has anyone noticed better/lighter traffic this week in West Yorks? I guess it is due to some schools being off for summer, but I didn't think that many had broken up yet. Nowadays I rarely have to drive around the cities in the busy times of the day, but on Wednesday I had to hoof it from Wakefield, via M62, M1, M621, Leeds ring road, over to Bradford, pick up some components before the place closed, and then get back again. At 5pm this is generally not a great idea.
I think someone had spiked the West Yorks water supply or something, because every single person seemed to know how to drive properly. People getting in lane at the end of the old M1/M621 feeder, traffic sliding neatly into lanes, leaving enough room, even my usual nemesis, the blonde 50-something businesswoman in a convertible waved me through traffic calming. Nobody panicking or getting testosterone overload, just good old competence and consideration. Weird!
Yeah, I know, cool starry bra, etc. But a trip that I was expecting to be a nightmare turned into a really rather nice drive. No extreme rally driving or anything, just making good consistent progress. Some of the schools have started the summer hols, so that undoubtedly helped, as did the warmer weather, but whoever you are, thank you!
Shame there was no traffic queue outside JCT600, I was looking forward to having a good look as I went past! There did seem to be a good selection of well kept 1980s metal on the roads though. Nothing flash, just interesting machinery - XR3i, VW pickup, Mk1 XR2, even a 1970s Vauxhall Viva on the M62.

Sunday afternoon around 12.30pm going north on the M1 - A1M link, a nice 2001 plate Elise went past being harrassed by, yes you guessed right, an Audi.
A few minutes later going south on the A1M approaching Wetherby was a red Cerbera (couldn't see the number).
Later on around 3.30-4pm some Porsche 911s going north presumably from the Lotherton hall meeting.
In the car park at Newby Hall a silver SLS.
