The 2015 Yorkshire Spotted Thread

Some rare stuff on the A1 yesterday.
Countach with WOW plate heading north near Barnsdale Bar about 1215, Lotus Cortina and silver Alfasud heading south near Doncaster about 7pm. Saw a few old Hillmans kicking around too - and a couple today near Ferrybridge, including a D-reg one in Dan Air get-up.

Nice spot! The Maserati and Ferrari are normally locked in the garage, 458 was out on the driveway getting washed a couple of weeks back. I had no idea they had a Maserati and a 458!! Always used to admire that house whils I lived in Stanley, especially loved the sound of the Raptor and always wanted to chat to the owner about it but never saw them in town. Love the Maserati!
The house belongs to the parents of an ex schoolmate of mine. They made their initial money selling M&S seconds on Wakefield market! The flooring business was the dads, and then the other son's, both sons still live in Stanley so far as I know. I remember them getting one of the first supercharged XJRs, and they do like their Maseratis (who can blame them?). I must admit, I hadn't seen the Ferrari before.
Is always nice to read of spots in the wild seen whilst on the highways and byways.
Though reference the Outwood photo above I think taking picture of cars on drive of owner/s private residence and then posting on internet is unacceptable, further then giving details of the owner/s business interests and address is unnecessary also. Such posts attract unnecessary exposure / attention towards the owner/s and I think is bad form, and the photo and comments should be removed.

I think I'm inclined to agree.Though reference the Outwood photo above I think taking picture of cars on drive of owner/s private residence and then posting on internet is unacceptable, further then giving details of the owner/s business interests and address is unnecessary also. I hadn't thought about it but you guys have a point. Some people would love the attention but others would feel uncomfortable about pictures of their driveway and discussions about their livelihoods (although positive) on a forum.
I'd like to to get us back on track but have not been back to Yorkshire since I moved out in April - miss the place like crazy!

A picture of a driveway isn't that obtrusive if you don't talk in depth about location etc in my opinion.
E90 3 series with a bad matte black paint job and a odd sounding M3 style exhaust setup in Kirkstall yesterday lunchtime. Grey VXR8/Monaro in Cleckheaton yesterday afternoon. Yas Marina blue M4 on the M62 near Batley yesterday evening and quite a few MK7 Golf Rs about in West Yorkshire.
