Humberside?

oh yeah... they tried to change the name back in 1970 ish didn't they.... soon gave in and changed it back to East Yorkshire though

Moving to a little village near Howden, where are you Alan, and what do you drive? There is nothing listed on your profile.

I know you were looking at a 406 coupe last summer, did you ever get one? Great cars, I've had one (yellow naturally - to go with my shy and retiring personality) as a Co motor for the last three years and it goes back in 5 weeks - still think it looks fantastic

Suitably chastised I've updated my profile!

I never did get a 406 - practicality got in the way I'm afraid so got another Omega Estate, the Elite model so I've lots of gadgets to play with which goes part of the way to making up for that fact its not in any way sporty.

Lincolnshire then North Humberside now North Lincs again - bloody hell I wish they'd stop wasting my Council tax changing all those signs over !
I can wave to all those Hully Gullies across the river from our 'ouse - near where the ferry used to run from ( come on show how old you all are by remembering the Ferry !)

There’s me, a bit slow on the uptake as usual.

I’ve been off-line a while, we just moved house and I lost the access through work.

I’m in a small village just off the A63 between you and Hull.

Cheers,

Simon.

Aerospace engineer? oooh that'll put you somewhere around South Cave, Elloughton, Brough-ish?

And yes Snorky - I have been on that very ferry. A big adventure for a young boy that was

As an update, we have now moved to a rented house in Whitley, just off the M62 on the A19. New house won't be ready for another 6-8 months... however, the A19, south of the M62.... oh yes, oh yes oh yes oh yes

If you know what I mean

I'll have to pop in and have a look at the car sometime, parents live in Elloughton so over there reasonably often, or if you're passing the A19 on the 62 give us a shout and stop by. The current house is less than 2 mins from the M62.

I'll have to lookout for your car - my parents live in Haddlesey (2 miles up A19 from you if you don't know). If you see someone in a silver Omega waving don't be scared!

They didn’t run it for long, it only took foot passengers and I guess it was more expensive than the ferry. My dad took me, must have been way back early 70’s, very noisy and fast though.
