Had an awesome quick run up the Stamford Bridge road to Malton in the Supersport - hadn't driven it in ages and loved it. Sadly the front facing MD0 footage points into the road and the rear points to the sky - doh! Will be more careful next time but quality looked OK.

Thanks to John and Mark for a great morning. It was seriously hard to walk away from that Turquoise 996 Turbo!!

Cheers

Scott.

Doh indeed! Nice to meet you Scott.

My footage has come out ok given the circumstances, the positioning of the camera seems ok, but as the roads were so wet and filthy the lens quickly got covered so its a bit blurred. The relatively narrow angle lense makes everything look quite slow and steady aswell, which could be a good or bad thing I guess!

I'll try do a bit of editing and stick it onto youtube this week.

Well, at least I made it near! My alternator belt snapped only about 2 miles away!

The place I just had it serviced at will be in for a major ear bashing on Tuesday morning!
Were you in a pub car park? I'm sure i passed by you and a couple of other cars just nearby.

Didn't see another yellow 355 convertible there.

Thanks for organising everything Mark and everyone else helping out.
Yep, that was me! Parked up with the black Elise and the gorgeous Karmann Ghia!

And with guest appearances from Jonny in the Porsche and Garlick in the R8 spyder! Cheers for the support guys!
Did you get home ok then mate? Sad sight seeing the 355 going onto the truck frown
Yeah got home ok ta! Wasn't quite as much fun on the way home as the drive there.

Managed to cause a decent tailback though with people slowing down to see the Fezzer on the back of a lorry!
Haha a have a pic of it being towed onto the truck, I wont post it on here lol.

Yeah I think that huge queue of the main road was people slowing down to see what was happening haha, rather than bank holiday traffic.

Very good day, well done to Malton for organising, the Air Ambulance donation and for laying on such excellent catering!

We had a good blast round the Blakey/Rosedale loop first too (Rosedale had a "road closed" sign but we sneaked carefully past that) and saw lots of nice cars who no doubt ended up at Malton too smile Witnessed an impressive exit by a fish-tailing Wedge TVR just before we left, although for a moment I thought it was going to go all wrong and end up parked on my bonnet! eek

My photos look just like everyone elses (I have loads of the XJ220 too, lol):

And our cars:

Bugger, was it passable then? I was leading a small group and on the way back down we headed down here, its my favourite section in the area, we got to the sign but as we were in a group i thought it was better to spin round. Plan had been to go back down to Rosedale and up Chimney bank which is always fun. Ah well...

Why was the sign there, any idea? We suspected it might have been for some monumentally large potholes?

Yeah it was passable, just about. As there were just 2 of us we thought we would go look, keep our eyes open and proceed with a little caution. Turned out it was a partial road collapse on a short section. Road was not completely blocked but it was rough.

Was my first time and I had an excellent morning even if I didn't get the 106 finished in time to drive it there! The Easter nest buns were fantastic and so was the young lady who was serving them! cloud9 I was most impressed with some of the machinery lining the industrial estates roads aswell, pity I was merely a passenger in the taxitastic Vx Omega as id have loved to go for a drive afterwards! Thank you to all at Malton for a great day heres to the next one!
