Weathers looking decent. Packed the birds custard for pics.

Emails out with the start point. I'll see some there hopefully.

That was so much fun! And genuinely great people to boot - hope everyone got back okay.

Thank you so much for organising smile

Here's another, why not.

It was a bloody early start from Leeds, more than made up for by the great traffic-free roads, nice cars, lovely countryside and friendly people. I think my favourite part was when we happened across another convoy of petrol heads and chased them around for a while, what are the odds?!

Hopefully we can get another one going before too long.

Looks fantastic thumbup Thanks Wildoliver for picking up the baton!

I couldn't make it as I had a pre-arranged run with a friend. We were on country roads north of Leeds just after 6am and home by 9:30 after touring the Dales. The last few miles home were awash with with cyclists so well worth the 5am alarm to beat them to the good stuff.

I'll have a think about leading Dales run later in the year.

Shame I've just discovered this thread as I would've been keen to come along. If there's another one at any point I'd like to be included please.

I didn't know the "dawn raids" existed and only ever went on the tunnel runs in Leeds (and sometimes wonder what people drive now), they look like a lot of fun, sadly I don't have anything worth leaving the house to drive around in these days but maybe one day... please keep sharing the pictures in the meantime smile

Sorry yes, we'd meet up on the outskirts and then enjoy driving through the tunnels of Leeds at sensible but noisy speeds before having a bit of a static meet to take in the massive range of different cars that were there.

A bit different to a proper drive out but a lot of fun.

I think I attended this one in a very chavved black 8th gen Galant VR4. Was a good day out long before the whole Instagram/YouTube spotter scene

Gib has unfortunately hit the nail on the head, while none of these events are anything particularly naughty, nothing hugely unusual to what most of us will do normally on the road and certainly not driving like hooligans, anything taken out of context can be misconstrued, and the prevalence of camera phones, CCTV and dash cams and people's penchant for posting every single thing that they ever see on social media make it harder to enjoy these sorts of things.

All of that played a part in the cancellation of what was a fantastic supercar event at the Jenny Wren inn. Fond memories of being a passenger in a F40 being piloted at good pace on countryside roads and the bonkers GT2 passenger ride that resulted in us diving down a side lane to evade the old bill
