PH pub meet - 2nd Monday each month
Discussion
Thoroughly enjoyed tonight
Good to see the crowd once again, plus some faces that havent been for a while (you know who you were) and the final arrival of Trickie Dickie albeit sans Wedge - Looking forward to seeing the 400SE!
And some new faces too so a big goes out to you guys
I hope Anna enjoyed her run out in the Lotus
The Murcie Spider was a fantastic looking machine
Thanks to Talkwrench for allowing me to pick his grey matter - I shall have it priced up (Steering bushes right??)
Although I had a rather ridiculous lens on and had to walk for a while before I got any of the cars into frame, I did get some shots and shall have the photos up sometime tomorrow
Until then:
Thanks for a good night

Good meet. I had a little chat with a few people, was nice to put a face to you Phil/Vette78 - next month I'll convoy up from Sheff with you!
(If you fancy showing the red one off aswell, and cant possibly figure out a way how to drive 2 cars at once.....ahem...)
I caught you pointing 'Hubble' at the Red rocket Scott Can't wait.
Hit a massive bird poo on the way home, doh!

I think my camera has a new name kindly given by the folks at PH
Unfortunately the shot of the Pug didnt come out well, mainly due to my inexperience with the camera...wasnt quite in focus as I insist of using the camera ONLY on full manual including manual focus
Next time mate, I promise!!!! (get your arse to Harewood too you rogue!)

You'll learn mate ... on most occasions the camera lens is a lot more sensitive at focussing than your eyes You have a lot of technical know how in that camera ... make the most of it and work with it rather than against it. You usually only need full manual for the really extreme or arty stuff

As I said before, I had the camera on full manual and due to inexperience, I didnt realise the shutter speed was as slow as it was and didnt realise that it had blurred until I got home!

I'll give it a bash next time, even if I switch to AF rather than MFYou have a lot of technical know how in that camera ... make the most of it and work with it rather than against it. You usually only need full manual for the really extreme or arty stuff
