Harewood hill climb
Discussion
Well, that was a damned cold day out . But as enjoyable as usual with the typically eclectic mix of cars that are found at the hill , from electric Mitsubishi to insanely quick single seaters . The speed trap on the top straight is always interesting and I think some PHers whose interest lies in whether road car A is faster than road car B might have their eyes opened to just how big the difference is between a quick road car , a hillclimb prepped Caterfield and a big banger single seater. For example - most TVRs - 68- 78mph; modified Evos 85mph; highly modified Evos and Imprezas and quick Seven type cars- 95mph. Gould etc 3.5litre single seater 125mph (and at the championship round later in the year that will be closer to 140mph).
