What to do around Whitby for a week....
Discussion
I'm off to Whitby tomorrow for 5 days - nothing we haven't done many times before, but I'm after a little inspiration as to what to do with a 3 and a half year old boy and a 7 year old girl.
There's the obvious beach suggestion if it's nice, Pannett Park, trip over to Scarborough (but what?) - but I'm after something else that might be worth considering.
All ideas welcome
Thanks

Update:
Well, we went on what was clearly the windiest week of the year, but the view from High Hawsker was great:
Monday was spent on the beach and watching the "pirate" ship going a long way up and a long way down - we opted to NOT try it out
I remembered about the battered Haggis and had to have one for lunch. I didn't eat until the next day, it was HUGE
Tuesday we went to the Dales - I forget its name, but it took us a while to do the short journey cross country but we found a great visitors centre.
On the way back it snowed. A LOT.
Wednesday - we went to the hideously overpriced Playdale farm which the kids LOVED:
Thursday was another sunny day on the beach with the obligatory digging - My daughter did the start and I had to finish up. High tide was at 4 so we had just enough time to do all this:

Followed by a sail up the river:
Not a huge doing on Friday but I needed this by then:
