Hopefully your work colleagues ok with no lasting injuries, I've got to say it was quite a sobering sight to see the aftermath of the accident. Will update when we hear from his wife.

There was a comical conversation with him this morning from the hospital.
What we've managed to find out is that an articulated lorry pulled out in front of him and it was either swerve and hit the brakes or probably get squashed by the back wheels of the lorry.
If he didn't hit the tree he'd have went into oncoming traffic.
We do think the Tuscan was possibly on a suicide mission!
The Tuscan will be in the hands of the insurers.
He did say that even though the bodywork is wrecked the cockpit area is untouched and it seems it didn't crumple or deform or he would have been a lot worse.
He should be out of hospital soon but off work until probably February or March.

Seems to have been a couple of accidents in the last week or 2, always a tricky time of year, and even the most of experienced of drivers can be caught out. Hopefully he's up and about quick enough with no lasting injury, that's all that matter at the end of the day! Accidents in these cars I always fear with the lack of safety fittings!

I was in it last week!Didn't see your post before I out mine! Shame that there wasn't even much he could do! One of the reasons I won't go near bikes, all good being a good driver but it's the other idiots on the road you gotta watch for!!
Shame about the car! Can't be many orange tuscans around! Love the coliur
