Stolen in Aberdeen: BMW 335i - H9WSR
Discussion
Wow, just read this whole thread, seems your local police force need to get their priorities right.
I'm glad I live in a good area and car is garaged, but when I'm not using the car on a daily basis I make mechanical amendments so that the car can not be driven if the worst were to happen.
Hope all comes good in the end to all involved.

Didn't even know Grampian Police had use of a helicopter or is it just an oilfield one with spotters inside?
Poor lads car will be ragged beyond belief by now, wouldn't be surprised if it has run out of petrol and been dumped. What gets me with all these sightings on Facebook etc, are these people actually phoning in the whereabouts of it or just posting about it! I'm sure the police would happily take a few hints as to where it is!

Agreed, I read on someone's FB comment that their car got nicked and their son beat up the thief and now he's up in court for assault.
Whilst I don't openly condone his actions, I hope he gets admonished or the case does not make it through court.
I condone it 1000%, if these little thieving scrote fkers want to play at being big boys then they need to accept the consequences Whilst I don't openly condone his actions, I hope he gets admonished or the case does not make it through court.
The sooner a vigilante mob get hold of at least one of them the better, i am not a violent person but i would not think twice about really really hurting these individuals to cause them permanent disability

The thing is Aberdeen is (or at least was, until very recently) a very nice area with great insurance premiums and many nice cars are garaged. This is a relatively new thing and I just don't think the police can cope with it.I'm glad I live in a good area and car is garaged, but when I'm not using the car on a daily basis I make mechanical amendments so that the car can not be driven if the worst were to happen.

I genuinely hope some real harm comes to the thieves. Ok, it's their families who will really suffer but let's be honest here - these little ****s are not the result of high quality parenting are they?

How much longer until a vigilante mob take matters into their own hands?
Surely the police must do something more to tackle this epidemic?
You would hope sooner rather than later but if this did happen they would be locked up and the key thrown away well before the scum doing this get picked up!Surely the police must do something more to tackle this epidemic?
At least the press (if you can call the EE press) has run a story on it.

If that was my RS4 I'd be delighted it was torched.
I wouldn't want it back after they ranted it.
That's fine so long as it's a completely run-of-the-mill car like an Audi which you could very easily replace like for like with insurance money. Not so good if your car isn't a (admittedly big engined) eurobox which is somewhat harder to replace regardless of the money aspects. Even rarer mainstream cars which had lots of options etc are very hard to replace like for like. Find a car of the same spec and it won't be as well maintained etc.I wouldn't want it back after they ranted it.
- Edited my orig response ;-)

Far better the thieves die in their next attempt. Hopefully the next one they steal will catch fire whilst they're in it.
