Which bodyshop out of these?
Discussion
Hi, this is my first post. I recently bought a 1989 944 2.7 Lux. The car is in near immaculate condition.
The only bodywork flaw was an area on the OSF wing that looked as though it has had a smart repair carried out.
I had previously looked at a Cayman which had also been repaired. The only reason I knew this was because the seller told me. The repair was carried out by Mitchell Inglis. I booked the 944 in to get the wing re sprayed. After dropping the car off I found some negative reviews on the web. To say I was worried was an understatement. Picked the car up a few days ago and on inspection the car looked superb. Considering my car is guards red and is 26 years old the standard of work was very impressive with a perfect paint match. Mitchell Inglis are not the cheapest but I can certainly recommend them without hesitation.

I've used Mitchell Inglis once and will never go back: shocking workmanship and terrible follow up customer service what with refusing to fix their obvious mistake.
After having my car looked at by professional assessors who were appointed by the loss adjusters after I raised a dispute, even my insurance broker has said they won't send back there and they will find somewhere else to fix their mistake who are more competent.
As for being a manufacturer approved Bodyshop, be aware that this does not mean you get any support from the manufacturers who approve them. Find a local and respected Bodyshop instead who don't rush through as many cheap insurance jobs as possible.
