I went to the Bo'ness car show today and it was a complete shambles. I will not go back. I waited over an hour to travel one mile. I past the "over flow car park" that said "cash only" and queued for another hour. There was one narrow lane entry to the Estate. All the cars traveling from the east had the right of way on the roads so you were relying on the good will of the cars traveling from the east to let you access the road.
I suggested to the girl at the entrance that all cars coming from the West should you use the "overflow" card park and that there should be a marshal standing at the entrance to the Estate and also on junction of Grangemouth Road to control traffic but my suggested was noted but I doubt was passed to someone with a brain.
Also card, cash or prepaid entry was totally irrelevant because everyone had to pass through the same entry which was literally the size of a door. So why was the overflow car park not used to relieve the traffic jam.

Looks like it was night and day in comparison.
Marshalled signposted entrances. North and south into different carparks from different roads.
Prepaid entrances had their own queue. QR scanners to verify.
There was 2 prepaid and 4 pay on the door lines.
Loads of food and drink options.
Decent local produce stalls
Auto jumble stalls
Loads of cars.
Carparks were marshalled at all times even at the end for directing traffic.
We were out the carpark and home within an hour total.
It took longer to get from the A68 to Sheriffhall than it did to get out of the carpark.
I went to Thirlstane yesterday; it was pretty well organised with a great variety of cars and lots of friendly people. I managed to slip out about 4.30 without having to queue to get out of the field, and was back parked up in Edinburgh just under an hour later which was good.
Blue 7 - it looked like you were having fun, and good on you for taking the kids for a blast.

Thanks, it was good to meet you. Thanks for saying hello. Blue 7 - it looked like you were having fun, and good on you for taking the kids for a blast.
Yes, I really enjoy doing the dream rides. It’s nice to have some car chat with different people. It was very popular this year, probably helped by the amazing weather. The Sporting Bears raised almost £2500 for charity.
I had a bit of an incident towards the end of the afternoon mind you. I was giving my last but one ride of the day & we were overtaken by a motorbike. As it went past, if flicked up a sizeable stone from it’s rear tyre & smashed the Caterham’s windscreen!
We were both fine, luckily & I have windscreen cover, so hopefully it will be sorted soon. I think the lady I’d taken out got more excitement than she’d bargained for!
