Hi Guys,

With respect to forum rules etc there is no business names mentioned, trade name or contact numbers, I hope this is all above board for Piston Heads as I am certainly not here to ruffle any feathers. smile

I am looking for a few members to trial a new car wax, you will receive a few ounces to try on your car and in turn I am looking for some decent pictures.

This would be ideal for a car detailing enthusiast who is also a bit handy with a camera.

No ties, no catch. Your car will not appear with number plates and I am more concerned about "zoomed in" areas of paint.

Again I won't be mentioning trade names through PM's either due to respect of the staff on PH. If there is any issue with this post please contact me so that we can discuss.

Happy Motoring,

John.

You could try contacting Polished Bliss. They might test the product for you.
You won't find anyone who knows more then them, and if they give it the seal of approval then it really means something...

My car isn't "special", and I don't plan on polishing it again until the new year, but if you would like to see how it fares on a slightly faded, 21 year old red MX5 then I'd be happy to help and take a few pictures for you!

Hi John,

I would happily do this for you.

I have just purchased a Clio V6 and I'm a keen detailer and enjoy taking photos of before and after work with an SLR. Feel free to drop me a PM.

Thanks,
Ben

I just looked at your website and it must be very expensive stuff you are going to sell. (hence hwy you are only giving away a few ounces to a very select few i reckon.)
I would advise Polished Bliss but you are in Glasgow so im not sure who the best detailers are there.
All the best in your venture.

Funnily enough I have known Clark in the online world for about 7 or so years and this thought had crossed my mind I have been detailing myself for around 10 years, in spite of this I think a few sets of eyes is always a bonus - we don't always see the same thing.

I just don't want to step on anyone's toes and I thought I would ask the private sector instead.

Ben you sound ideal, something like the V6 is a special car, we are really looking for anything a bit special doesn't have to be exotic. It will be personlised for your Clio V6 in this case, what colour is it ?

With regards to the fading MX5 I will take a note of your details as I have something in the pipework which I would like to test on faded colours especially red so this would suit your needs.

It will only be a few ounces as each "prototype" as the cost of some of the natural ingredients and production time. I only have 5 samples available for the private sector as the other 5 will be dispatched to independent car showrooms.

Just to stay on the safe side if we could keep chat of the website and finer details off of PH as a sign of respect for the staff.

Thank you,

John.

Clark is my brother smile
As far as i'm aware they test out quite a lot of new products for different companies so i'm sure they wouldn't mind giving yours a go and seeing what's what.
You never know, they might even end up stocking it if they liked it.

I'll possibly put one aside that was going to the Single Marque Garages and see if your brother fancies a play with it.

Op - you need to re-read the posting rules, especially rule 14.

Thanks for that, I'll email the staff and see if they can change it over for me. I'll stop posting untill this is rectified.

Thank you for the "heads up"

John.

What to do folks if you can post a picture up of your cherished one and I shall browse these over the next few days.

All candidates will receive notification by PM and a personlised letter of authentication and a tamper proof sealed sample jar VIA recorded RM. Not quite as fancy as our crystal enclosure, but this is why it is Gratis!

Well just get some pictures up, everything is bespoke and I am looking into "filler" products which basically hides surface scratches nothing below paint level right enough ! smile so you could provide quite a good test base for this.

Yes G, do you mainly show this car or is it a daily ? I have a lovely concourse wax which true to the name is really only for shows but it does have a lovely rich glow and the light just dances all over the paintwork, sublime really.

I am currently looking at a very high wax content coming away from carnauba. Just gives supreme gloss - but that is VERY early days.

Sorry guys, I do tend to get carried away smile

Would love to try it, but I wouldnt say boxster s or mkv Golf GTi were "special". Always on the lookout for new and better shiny stuff.
