I've traced the owner now. He knows exactly what it is, so dreams of getting it for a song are now shattered!!!

It's in a sorry state though.

Big shame mate.

I suppose he would rather let it rot than let it go cheap and be restored..

Well, I suppose it costs pretty much the same to totally re-build an extremely rare and sought-after SEAC as a 'lesser' Wedge', the only difference being initial purchase price.

However, when the same two cars are finished and back on the road, values will be vastly different, the SEAC being by far the better investment...as well as a brilliant car of course smile

Oh, and from today I'm Regional Manager for a company selling static 'mobile' homes in Portugal and Spain if anyone wishes to help me buy a Wedge. biggrin

Very good questions, both.

1) Long story...

2) Fingers and all other appendages crossed.

Hope all that finger crossing pays off. It would be great to have another SEAC back on the road where it belongs.

Very much the IMPOSTER. This car was up for sale acouple of years ago, so there were loads of photos available, claims were made that it was one of the THREE factory race cars. Check out the very NON-SEAC sills.
