Sounds interesting and good. Have you fitted that set up?

Fitted to the 350i and works a treat especially as i know that the rad is pretty well buggered (many fins flattened/missing etc.) Sounds like a hover-craft and you can really feel a hot draught when you get out of the car!!

When I spoke to Kenlowe about a year ago they new about Wedge overheating problems. They reccommend Twin 16" fans! Not really suitable for a bike
Other benefits include doing away with the otter switch, ability to set thermostat at any temperature and they do a manual override kit as an option.

I've used the Kenlowe arrangement with the thermostat bulb in the hot side of the rad. (but not on the TVR) Trouble is the capillary has to come out through the top hose to rad connection, it's a tw@t to seal even with the special rubber. The Otter switch on the cool side or the rad is much better IMHO as this only brings the fan on when the rad is not doing the business. i.e crawling or stood in traffic.
Keep it simple. Otter switch & override if you're worried.
Mark.

Thanks for the info.

I am going to try and modify the existing cowl and fit a twin fan set up with an adjustable thermo switch on the return off of the rad. Does seem to make more sense controlling the temp off of the rad rather than onto it.

With a few months of cooler weather ahead I will see how it goes as the existing oil cooler is quite large but if neccessary can be replaced without removing the rad or any other major work.
