The Pope has agreed to do some juggling with live rabbits, after that we're going to play Gran Turismo on the PS and then...

OK, just woke up. FA as usual. I have a big empty space where the 911/Griff/? should be parked!

I'll talk to the Pope about it, he seems quite keen but prefers VW Golfs...

I'm fitting a new fuel pump this weekend - it's a hi flowing bosch .. just received the correct hose connectors and a new bit of 8mm rubber hose to replace the Aeroquipe ..

Pipe sizes are 8mm high pressure outlet and 12mm low pressure inlet from the swirlpot if anyone is interested.

Well got the rest of the un-needed brackets cut off the chassis.
Plus the rear offside suspension, as bits of the mounts have broken, so need welding up.

Got the UJ's out of the prop.
Made some brackets for the engine stand. and a piston stop.
Got the engine 100% stripped. and labeled. can pick it up with one hand now.

Spent a who day re-aranging the garage, chucked out a lot of old sh1t, and re-aranged the bench to take a press and piller drill, else would not have been able to do the above.

Last weekend I re-aligned my bumper after getting it smacked up, fixed the gouges and cracks with resin and kitty hair.... next weekend I'll sand it smooth and paint it.

Finally bit the bullet and decided to fit new coil springs all the way round (Uprated ones from RT). Bought some plusgas to spray (tonight) everything with, so hopefully it shouldn't take too long to sort over the weekend.

Also ordered an uprated oil pressure relief valve / spring from v8tuner, to see if it stops the oil pressure gauge from bouncing up and down.

Mainly due to finance; the eldest daughter is getting married next year, and it's going to cost a bl00dy bomb frown

I was going to go for the SH ones, as they looked really good at last years BBWF, however I'm a bit (lot!) of a pie eater, and the beast still has the original springs (20 years old this year) on it. Seeing as I'm fed up of it bottoming out with me in it I went for the cheapest route.

And before any smart arses say go on a diet, I'm already on one. fking weddings and monkey suits.

Problem with uprated springs is they are also shorter, so you still may get a bottoming out problem.

You may want to try and get some extra spacers, or adjustable height shocks.

When I had standard shock's and uprated rear spings it was too low, and I put new standard ones back on.

Think I have uprated (heavy duty) RT front springs (back doesn`t need it, at least on mine and adjustable shock absorbers are more value or springs need to be replaced of course) and the front sits as it was before. Like in no problems with speed humps in Belgium and Holland. Much better handling from the front (replaced and upgraded a few years ago, and one old spring was broken!), but installing them requires a very good spring compressing tool: either official Ford or replica (thanks Hans) or Steve Heath method/now available tool: DO NOT use standard simple spring compressors or the `jack` method. As it is either lethal or doesn`t even compress enough.....
