The Wedge Sausage Meet
Discussion
Hi peeps...Thanks to those who turned up this morning..Good to meet you john..(Iwantawedge)..Mmmm...Name change to "Igotawedge"..Possibly..Good little project..The engine sounded pretty smooth,Albeit a bit quiet with those rear silencer's.."Take em off".."Make some noise"..A TVR should have audible presence as well as visual..Have to ask Mr T for a pic of his series 3 to see where the front number plate supposed to fix to..It was a nice bright but cold day in the park and we were treated to a barber shop type group that we could hear singing.."All you need are gloves"..Rat ta tat ta tat....
Hi Andy..Thanks for the pic..At the moment its secured on the grille which i suppose is not too bad but i wondered if it would hinder airflow to the radiator?..The spoiler look's different as well..In general its not a bad car, The engine sounded quite smooth and just needs a bit of a service and a clean up..Cheers...Ziga
Hi John..Here is a link to a site that has all the bits you might need for repairing the rear window of the hood inc the plastic sheet..The stormsure is a great product for repairing rips but ideally will need to be laid flat to cure...Stitching mohair is not an easy thing and 9/10 will fray..I used a repair patch on mine..In fact because some clever dicky has glued that piece of perspex..I mean thick plastic in over the fabric inner overlay then i would use stormsure to glue the new piece of plastic in as stitching it in will prove to be near impossible with the damaged fabric..Even with a sewing machine!!..At least with the stormsure it is strong and waterproof and i would swear by it...You will probably need about three tubes...Removing the hood could also open up big cans of worms!!..The new piece of plastic could probably be done in sitchu but would need someone to hold in place while someone else tapes over the edges with some duct tape..Try to keep the glue in the middle of the window overlap which would only need to be around 1.1/4"..Hope this helps..Ziga

PS: The price of the stormsure does vary dependant on where you buy..It might be worth searching for a better price..The plastic is pretty cheap but i would phone them to ask if its UV resistant.

Hi Peeps..A lovely warm sunny morning at the park..Good to see..Chris..Paul..John...Ian and stu..Stu..luke had me in fits when he said about the "lion in the park"....Im sure at his age a great dane does look like a lion, It was also the right colour..Then there was a little lad with his dad who was probably no more than 4 years old who went running up to my wedge and said.."I want to drive that one"....Kids are well funny sometimes..Then i caught ian telling a squirrel off for gathering his nuts!!..Cheers..Ziga
Hi Peeps..Well it was lovely in the sunshine this morning..Loads of salt on the road but the im not too bothered as the underside of my wedge is covered in oil..Good to see chris, Martin and Graham..However i nearly vomitted as yet another dog was chomping on the horse poo that was deposited on the road in the park....Put me off my sausage sarnie!!..
