Sorry for my absence this weekend - been busy taking the SEAC to AUSTEC on Saturday and out will all the WEdges on Sunday.

10 cars in Feb .. I can only say I'm impressed.

We did a similar format to what I'm suggesting for a national meeting .. we met in a large open air car park .. chatted for about 1/2 hr then went for a drive of about 3/4 hr thru 2 nice towns (Henley and Marlow)

- followed by another chat in a pub car park .. then a few coffees in the pub .. well some of us drunk beer.

I think everyone had a great time .. certainly great to meet people in person.

We did discuss a national meeting and had a few thoughts..(these are not necessarilly mine just passing them on..) :

1) Everyone liked the basic idea

2) Not everyone liked the Museum idea not unless it was the 'Modern Lingerie museum' - Steve you crack me up...! People thought they could visit museums in their own time - they want to talk & drive wedges.

Places to stop / regroup / chat on a drive would be great.

3)Us shandy drinking southerners don't want to venture up North until it gets warmer.. (we've got some funny geazers down were ) - 200 miles top down in April might be wet / cold.

4) Tas - your idea for April - why not have a dry run of a few local routes ..

I'm going to put more stuff on another post (to long and they get boring).

Rev, et al.
As stated & passed to Mrs H - I'm in.
Rev,
I'll tie up with Father Ted and see if we can get a Midlands date and then once we have sorted the BBWFest venue we can do a recce of a Route.
Mrs H is looking at Hotels so if we choose one with a big car park we could use this as the venue. My recollection of the Charlcote is it would be big enough.
Another thought - and a tad further north (Near Lichfield) is Curborough sprint - I'll see if they have the track free as it's big enough for a gathering and perhaps a blat (in my rally testing days it was £80/day - mind that was >10yrs ago!).
Mrs H - giz a mail and I can send some other hotels details if needed but the one you've listed looks good - how many parking spaces?
Tas.

Spot on Rev - let's leave the museums to the anoraks & the kids! Having said that, following your earlier comment, how about the Triumph Museum?

I've just seen a picture of a real nice one on the back of a bus in Central London. It was purple, with an underwired chassis and came with matching panties

I quite like the lace variety myself - well - preferably worn on a pleasant young filly of course. You don't think.......

I believe there are one or two lingerie manufacturers in the Midlands, so we could use that for a venue and have a tour around the factory with a catwalk show!

Just me thinking out loud again.

Must stay off the fizz!

A thought - we definately need a 'group' tee shirt made for this .. something funny on the back and our name & PH name on the front.. mainly because I have the memory of a gold fish.

Any idea's for something funny - or just "I drive a BIG BAD WEDGE" - "BBWF - 2004".

ANy other idea's ?

We like the T-shirt idea. Would be a nice memento of the occasion.

Suggestion: What about each person designing & wearing their own T-shirt. I found out the other day that you can get the iron-on transfer stuff on paper suitable for laser printers. Print whatever you want and iron it on.
