Although I've just had a 218 fitted any one got the spec on this 404 for research/interest only. If it's wilder than the 234, I take it we're into solid lifter country and post 6K rpm performance curves .

Harry

BTW who makes the 404 as I don't recognise the nummber sequence as being either kent/piper/TVR possibily craner

Service history on my 350 says its has been fitted with a hybrid '200' cam but I've no idea what manufacturer it is. Is there any significance to the number?

Its a Kent Cam made for V8 Developments, yes it only works with solid lifters .

Thanks for the update Duncan. Unfortunately my quest for a SEAC will have to be put on hold for a while. My erstwhile employers have decided to cut the hours they give me (I am freelance since a permanent headcount reduction over two years ago). As there is practically no market for ex-pats here in Hungary I am a bit stuck for ways to increase my income to a level sufficient to buy and run a SEAC. Maybe I will have to go for a 400/450SE for a while.

Commiserations - you could hold out for what you really want, but I'm not sure I could have the patience of Stainless Steve.

If you get yourself to Mania I'm sure a few of us could oblige you with a blat around the block.

When is Mania? I could try to get back for that.

Edited to add: Doh, why don't I look it up in the Sprint magazine when I get home?

Thanks Steve, I am planning a trip back to the UK in August, perhaps I can include the 9th.
