Thermo time switch V8
Discussion
Gents,
Can anyone confirm whether this is actually needed and could be just unplugged ?
I have been having a nightmare trying to find one EAC 1385 and they are at least £100 !
I vagualy remember someone saying it isnt necessary ?
Finally if i do need it where reliably can I get one ?
Many thanks as usual !

I had to replace a similar switch in my fuel rail. It's only the Hotwire that has it. The flapper system didn't have it.
It basically tells the Ecu to fuel more if the fuel rail gets hot so the fuel doesn't vaporise before it ignites. So I was told. I had running issues only when warm. When you unplugged the thermo switch from the fuel rail when hot it should have made a difference but mine didn't. I put a new one in and hey presto it worked.
It's a Range Rover item. You'll get it from Rimmers. That's where I got mine and it's not gold plated.
Hopefully we r talking about the same switch on the v8.
