hello,

it won't be long before i have my cam replaced on my 350i and i was going to go for the kent cam H 218, is anyone running on one of these and what do you think/how does it pre-form,
i don't mind it being a bit lumpy on idle which i might find with this cam or can anyone recommend a different/better one

Mr 2-sheds

if you had a 350i, which one off the cams that has been talked about (or not been bought up on this topic) would you use and why.

thanks

Spooky that question as I was about to ask the same about a 4.0 catted car, there I did , not too sure if I want to go the solid lifter route though.

Kent 218 or v8 developments MC1 (a slightly improved 218 with better idle but slightly less top end)
These IMO would suite a 350 & 4.0L.
a point worth remembering is that a "hot"cam will have a more adverse affect on the idle charactoristics and low down manners with a smaller capacity engine, i.e a 5.2 fitted with a 218 will seam quite tame , the same cam in a 3.5 will feel more sporty / lumpy, but i quite like that.

thanks for the reply tim, you have helped made my mind up and i'll go for the kent H 218
