GT3 RSR spotted in USK
Discussion
Yeah, took it for a blast, still running it in, and I wanted to get it noise tested to see how far off it was, it's way too loud at the moment. It was idling at 91! Bedford isn't really the place for trying to sneak a loud car on, but I'm going to have to get it quieter if I want to put it on track regularly, much as it's pretty cool to be able to drive it on the road it's made for the track. The irony is that I can legally drive it up and down the streets around the track, same streets occupied by people who would most likely put in noise complaints about race circuits but as soon as it goes near a track it's too loud. You'd think that people would be happier that a car like this was being driven in a safe, controlled environment, but it's not enough, apparently and where a bit of common sense should prevail it's sadly lacking.
You may want to look at these for track use. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/merlin-mild-s...
I've used them myself on a variety of different cars and find they usually reduce db levels by between 3 and 5.

So this morning on my way to my workshop driving along just coming out of usk when I saw a white gt3 RSR left hooker and the driver was wearing a helmet.
The reg on the car was c2 wax. It was fully stripped with RSR aero center locking bbs wheel and cup exhaust.
We look after a gt3 2009 rs with rsr parts but that is a full track car so no number plates but the one I saw today was ready for the track just wired to see one on the road.
Cheers lionel.

Hi guys
1st off love the car I runn a company called 360 Motorsport and look after a 997 gt3 RS for a customer and it's awesome. I was shocked when I saw yours in usk, my land lord has a gt1.
You already told us about the RS in the first post, like a year ago, are you trying to promote your business here? You made this thread and come back a year later, also pretty sure that it is a GT2, not a GT1 if it's red.1st off love the car I runn a company called 360 Motorsport and look after a 997 gt3 RS for a customer and it's awesome. Just to resurrect this old one, I’m the owner of the GT3 now and if there is any interest will post up about its continuing journey. It’s a very interesting specification and an interesting car, amazing that it has been built the way it has with so many parts that are now almost unobtainable or incredibly expensive.
I’m still formulating a plan for it, but the basic idea is that it’s going to be a little more user friendly without taking anything away from what it is, and reliable enough to trust to take for a few early morning runs on the great local roads we have.
