Who's coming from the Norwich area? Fancy meeting at Thickthorn services at about 08:15-08:20 prior to driving down the Thetford?!?
I'm coming and would be up for this, the blast to thetford can be a drag going solo, coming back with a pack of us last year certainly made it a lot more entertaining! Count me in.
Im up for that if i can make it there on time smile
Sounds good to me!

Thought I'd just put in my two pennies worth in and extend a VERY WARM WELCOME to any of the PH members who are nervous about coming on this PH run, or still not sure if they should or not...

The bottom line is this: It absolutely doesn't matter if you turn up in a Micra or a Murcielago.

The car you drive isn't what it's about. The fact is, we all share one thing in common, a passion for anything with a motor in it! 16 wheels... 4 wheels... 2 wheels... boats... planes... etc... it makes absolutely no difference. Yes, of course, we all appreciate the high end marques and supercars of this world, and dream of owning one (ok many), but that's not the point.

The point of a PH run is to do what most of us don't do as often as we should... simply get in our vehicles and go for a drive! It's just a LOT more fun when there's a crowd of you! From my point of view, it's simply a bonus if I'm behind a car with a nice noise, or one passes me so I can put my windows down and listen to the music (while creating a little of my own for others of course!) biggrin

I for one am hoping it'll be sunny so that 308 GTS comes along! Lovely car! smile

It doesn't matter about how fast you accelerate, or what your top speed is... It's certainly not about going flat out so you WON'T hold anyone up. In all honesty, the chances are, with this many cars going, we're going to get held up behind other road users anyway. Also for the record, it's also not about trying to overtake said road users at any moment either. It can be very daunting for some drivers to see a huge line of cars coming into view in their rear view mirror so it's important to respect them. If you can't overtake safely, don't... It's as simple as that... No one will think any less of you if you're not as confident as someone else... I learn't that from experience on my first run. I was getting so concious that I was holding everyone up behind me because I didn't know the road well enough to want to risk an overtake. No one complained... Obviously...

So PLEASE come along... Enjoy the day... Say hello... Have a chat... Show off your car (whatever it is) and be proud of it... and enjoy having a close look at other people's cars... biggrin

That's great, leading a group is fairly easy. I have full printed instructions that your girlfriend can read out and /or I have sat nav routes for the following models:

The job of the group leader is really to make sure everybody is still following you. Keep an eye on your mirror, slow down when necessary and don't lose anyone. smile
I've only got the built in sat nav in the car so a print out will do fine! If you could DM me the map before the day, I'll make sure to look at it and try and log some of it to memory! smile

As I said, I won't be going to "enthusiastically" anyway as the GF doesn't like it... much... wink

Well put, I'm sure a few out there are nervous about joining in. I take my lil Alfa junior, that can barely pull the skin off a rice pudding, but still really enjoy it........... Ok I make sure from stow onward I join one of the slower groups.

Jamie...
It was a pleasure to follow you for the short time you joined us last year.
I'd quite happily look at the back of your car for many more miles at whatever speed thumbup

I must admit the cambs to stow section, the car is run ragged, and often close to loosing it. But the stow to aldeburgh section is a rest bite from the mornings mania.
