True. I could remove a lot more interior and go for lighter wheels etc but it is a weekend toy as well so like to have stereo etc. Anyway just booked the Sunday! smile

Ahhh keeping a level of practicality and losing weight is hard - mine isn't road legal anymore and it certainly isn't practical biggrin

I have a target of losing another 20 kgs before Marham too - but I'd better put a new roof and windscreen in it first.....

Just wondering if the tyre fitter is confirmed for the weekend or?

Was going to bring spare tyres only instead of rims, but if its not confirmed I shall have to get some of them fitted to rims before setting off!

If anybody needs tyres/tools/fuel cans taken on Sunday between East Harling and Marham then let me know as I will be going up early and in an empty estate....espcially useful for all you seven type owners.angel

Steve - can I trouble you to ferry my jerry cans (2 of) on Sunday - if I drop them over to you after saturdays fun & games?

Chormy - if still ok, can you still help me out Saturday?

Cheers

Well as my first post I guess I should say HI to all wink

This looks like a great event, and I have read pretty much all the posts regarding the days events, however I have some of my own questions if someone can answer them please?

1) Is there a online list of the cars/drivers that are competing?
2) If I was to run down to Marham on the Saturday to race Sunday only, is there any local B&B, hotel or even camping nearby (last resort for me)?
3) If I was to pay/register but then the "Registered Car" became unavailable for the event, can I use a different car?

Thanks
Rob

Yes but not public - sometimes people start a separate thread saying what they are driving and what day they are attending - helps on the day to know who is around you.

All three

(B&B's google for them - I can't recommend any but I'm sure others can)

The George Hotel at Swafham has been a popular place to stay for some of the peeps from the ABS Club

Camping at Wittington

Thanks B'stard Child for the reply wink

I will speak with "er-indoors" tonight to make sure I have nothing else planned, or at least make sure she has nothing else planned for me rolleyes

i will pass this on to some friends too as Im sure they will be very much interested, which brings me onto one last question - Is there a limit to the number of competitors/drivers just in case they dont know their shift patterns until nearer the time.

I would love to see a list of the cars/names that are going down if someone wants to start one. Im a member on quite a few forums and the usual format usually goes something like.....

1) Rob Day - 2004 STI (slightly modified) - Sunday only
2)
3)

I will look into getting some tyres in anticipation..... hmmm wets maybe (bloody british weather LOL)

Thanks again
Rob clap

Wow I wasn't suggesting I should start the list laugh

However lets run with it, would be nice to see who's out to play and when wink

I have another question rolleyes (sorry in advance).... is there any pre track briefing, scrutineering, and any list of tyres that can/cannot be used?

I'm planning to go with a spare set of wheels, and I'm just looking into buying some track tyres now, so I dont want to be disappointed to find that the tyres arent allowed!

Thanks,
Rob

PS - reference the speed bump queries earlier, I almost ripped my splitter off today (one almighty scrape) on a local sleeping plod frown I think I need to reconsider my ride height!

Yes on the briefing, no on scutineering, tyres etc. The responsibility is generally with us to do the right thing, but I'm sure if the condition of someone's car was way out of order then there would be polite words.

The sound limit isn't checked beforehand, but obviously they will if a car seems excessively loud.

Marham was my first trackday, and I found it very friendly and relaxed.
