I haven't got a protege for the event this time - for the first time in ages.
do we have any first-timers that want a sound introduction lurking anywhere ?
We need to team up to ensure Joanna with the sunbeam gets up to speed quicklydo we have any first-timers that want a sound introduction lurking anywhere ?
I know your brother offered to assist - I did too another offer of help would be appreciated

we'll work on skills that can be taken away - i.e. observance and smoothness.
Best you get those skills from Rob and Stuart and not me - although a recent very wet trackday in France has made me appreciate the smoother style - my observation still leaves a bit to be desired ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)
Reminds me must put a thead up about that in this section and hope the mods don't move it to trackdays

thanks Ian
as for the course, its not hard to learn once you've had a go, the main problem is that large what appears to be a double apex before the long straight, always take a different line and always feel like I get it wrong.
there are two truly world-class corners on the track.....as for the course, its not hard to learn once you've had a go, the main problem is that large what appears to be a double apex before the long straight, always take a different line and always feel like I get it wrong.
the one you've identified, which is a very "technical" corner
.....and the one coming off the runway - full-throttle past the first cone on the right if you're brave, not many are !
The double apex onto the straight is fun but murder on the tyres when you have 350 kgs of pig iron over the front wheels............. (must learn slow in fast out as opposed to I know I can hit it at 80 and carry that all the way round on varying lines - oops thats another tyre toasted)

Ian,
I sent you a cheque for the Saturday meet at Marham. Its for Malcolm Borg with a BMW 525e. I am part of the Retro Rides crowd. I was asked by Rob to send the cheque to Ian Marsh which I did.
Am I on the list as the cheque has not left the account it came from?
Thanks
Malcolm

Hope that includes me for Saturday Ian? Just checked my email and I can't see anything from you on there. Spottedlaurel said:
Wahey, thanks! I've been treating the Camry to a few new bits and bobs rather than mess around buying something specifically for this event. Its Sport suspension is almost too harsh for road use (compared to what you'd expect from a Camry anyway) so I'm going to be fascinated to see if that translates into a decent car on the track.
Ha ha - getting the bug then - sent you an emailGassing Station | East Anglia | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
