PHEA Run - Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Run - 13th April
Discussion
Not sure if any of the route is going along much/any of the A14, but if it is - or if forumites are making your way there along it - there's at least one mobile camera site somewhere near Bury St Edmunds, just on teh inside of a long left bend. (Ask me how I know...)
Be careful people!

I might come along to this,I see there are some nice metal going, I think I might feel a outcast in my TDI.
Is there anyone pre meet/convoy from Ipswich?
Luke
Hi Luke, Suffolk Boi and myself will be popping into Copdock Tesco petrol station briefly (lorry park side) between 9:30 and 9:40. Khaki Suit may also be there ?Is there anyone pre meet/convoy from Ipswich?
Luke
However, if we are running late and haven't turned up by 9:40, don't wait for us.
Is that ok ?

Thought I'd just put in my two pennies worth in and extend a VERY WARM WELCOME to any of the PH members who are nervous about coming on this PH run, or still not sure if they should or not...
The bottom line is this: It absolutely doesn't matter if you turn up in a Micra or a Murcielago.
The car you drive isn't what it's about. The fact is, we all share one thing in common, a passion for anything with a motor in it! 16 wheels... 4 wheels... 2 wheels... boats... planes... etc... it makes absolutely no difference. Yes, of course, we all appreciate the high end marques and supercars of this world, and dream of owning one (ok many), but that's not the point.
The point of a PH run is to do what most of us don't do as often as we should... simply get in our vehicles and go for a drive! It's just a LOT more fun when there's a crowd of you! From my point of view, it's simply a bonus if I'm behind a car with a nice noise, or one passes me so I can put my windows down and listen to the music (while creating a little of my own for others of course!)
I for one am hoping it'll be sunny so that 308 GTS comes along! Lovely car!
It doesn't matter about how fast you accelerate, or what your top speed is... It's certainly not about going flat out so you WON'T hold anyone up. In all honesty, the chances are, with this many cars going, we're going to get held up behind other road users anyway. Also for the record, it's also not about trying to overtake said road users at any moment either. It can be very daunting for some drivers to see a huge line of cars coming into view in their rear view mirror so it's important to respect them. If you can't overtake safely, don't... It's as simple as that... No one will think any less of you if you're not as confident as someone else... I learn't that from experience on my first run. I was getting so concious that I was holding everyone up behind me because I didn't know the road well enough to want to risk an overtake. No one complained... Obviously...
So PLEASE come along... Enjoy the day... Say hello... Have a chat... Show off your car (whatever it is) and be proud of it... and enjoy having a close look at other people's cars...

I would be happy to meet at Tesco (Copdock). Could be there for around 9:35 - 9:40, but this will depend on what time my friend turns up at mine, as we are coming down together. We will aim to be at Tesco petrol station (lorry parking area) before 9:40. If we havent turned up by then, just leave and we will see you at Stowmarket.
Is that ok ?
Yeah, ditto, if I'm not there either don't hang about. I'm not known for my time keeping. Is that ok ?
Same for you too Pluke. I will be in a Blue 5 series.
