seems I only post on here around marham time, apologies.
I went saturday as I have friends in ABS. I did have a couple of undertakes, I'm possibly the slowest thing on track at times. I don't mind most of them, hey it gets heated out there and the mist decends.
i do have issue with one that tried to take me on the inside after the last apex part just before the turn into the hairpin at the bottom of the straight. I am observant and look all around me so I didn't stick my car straight into his door but if he was faster/i turned sooner/neither of us looked then it could have gotten sticky. most people were rather well behaved I thought, so well done all! and big thanks to the organisers and the guys 'n' gals marshalling it- you're terrefic 8).

mr frogeye- I have a pic of the smoke kind of ebbing away. you were doing some mighty closing speed on that clio!

I have overtaken on the sweeping curve after the complex, if you can then everyone does. not much i can though in my box of rust.

all in all it was good times; marham trackday was awesome as usual 8) I have some saturday pics but they're not online yet.

As with all of the above, I echo their thanks to Pete, George and to all of the volunteers for yet another superb event, taking the time and putting in the considerable effort to organise it and run it.

Thoroughly enjoyed Saturday and, as usual, as the first real outing of the year other than bimbling around normal roads, it reminded me why the MGA never fails to brings a grin to my face. As well as that, many thanks to Ian for the "Monza Experience" -

Nice clips from Gary's Frogeye!

Well, what a day..... I've got to say, after waiting nearly 2years, the passenger ride in Stevo's Sunbeam was worth my £70 alone!! What an adrenaline rush it was, to be still "full chat" at the end of the straight and only letting off AFTER turning into the complex! Cheers Steve, it made my day to be in one of the oldest cars there and to be whipping past cars of a newer age and more modern engineering!

On another note, the Sierra lasted the day without a major hitch (had to change rear pads at lunch) and made it home without missing a beat. All in all 208 miles on half a tank which i don't think is bad for a 3.1 V6???!! (around 110 of them were track miles!)

Looking forward to the next one even more now.

Will post my pics at a later date as i've left my camera round the other half's!! DOH!!!

Yep, the twisties were good this year. Not much held me up for long and you certainly didn't.

Yep, as long as I had fuel in the tank and rubber on the tyres I was out on the track, just as it should be.

BTW If you're on base can you please pass on my thanks to all involved for making it such a great weekend.

I have posted 3 videos on YouTube.

I do apologise for the use of a handheld mini camera. It was on a mount but fell off after 1 lap (together with the driver side washer) and I didn't realise my son was filming until we had finished. I will delete them if anyone has an issue with that or any of the content.

There are some good shots of the Frog Eye Sprite and the MG Midget on one of them and the other Tuscan too. The Turbo Rover 400 is there and the big black Merc to name but a few.

What car were you in there mate?

I think I need to learn how to blip the throttle while braking!

When pushing that hard you can really feel the engine braking the back tyres when you dont really want it too lol.

Had a few scary moments when I did that.

Was also getting it set in mid corner and able to steer out of the corner using the throttle. Not drifting but just enough to loosen the back.

This is me.

Hi Phil, yes it was definatley the battery that has seen better days!

Great day out though, and I have to admit I couldn't really see too many bad incidents on the day, although I did see a black MX3 get black flagged for doughnutting outside the cones after going through them!

If anyone got any pics of me I'd appreciate a copy. I'll post my pics up soon.
