I,m up for bringing all the toys provided I can get drivers. Hope to God the Lambo pass's the noise test with its Tubi!!

So can you add me with:
Lancia Integrale
Lambo Murcielago
Ferrari 360
Mitsi Evo 9
Can't see you having a problem getting drivers for those!!

I'll have the Lambo, Hannah gets the Ferrari and Darren the Evo...that leaves you with the Lancia, ok? winksmile
That sounds like a very good plan to me. I don't mind having any of those cars hehe Honestly I'm not fussy.

Can I please step in here and stamp on the rumours.

Smoking...This is NOT a non-smoker event. You will be able to smoke but it must be done in the smoking area near the briefing room.

Noise...There is now a noise limit of 105db however this is VERY loud and I'm 99.99% sure that if your car has an exhaust with a silencer and it's not damaged then it will pass the test.

Please take this limit in the spirit it is intended and don't panic. The limit has been put in place to allow us as organisers to turn people away that turn up with un-silenced or damaged systems. We had an issue with 2,,, yes 2 out of 300 cars last year and one was a side exit system with no silencer and the other was an exhaust that had come away at the manifold.

The sound is measured at 45degs and from half a meter away so 105db is very very loud!!

Drifting... If you don't want to be in a session with drifters then you won't be. Please when you book indicate if you want to drift. If we don't get enough to fill their own session then we will outlaw drifting in all sessions.

I'm hoping that we will get enough drifters or 'don't mind' people to fill their own session of 80 cars.

We have said to the forum administrators to let us know if their forum is a drifting or 'don't mind' forum.

Hope this helps.

George

I think it would be helpful for everyone to know exactly WHO is organising this event, or at least the PH East Anglia attendance at it.

As I understand it, it's in the hands of Ian Marsh (B'Stard Child), who is busy collecting entries, not Darren (iluvmercs) who has plenty of other things to run. However, both MG Mark and Georgey Dee are posting from a position of authority and have been involved in the event before. So could one of you please step forward and confirm, for the benfit of the readers, just who is 'in charge'? Thanks!

Think you summed it up nicely - I'm liasing with the event orgainisers at RAF Marham to co-ordinate th attendance of PHr's

I'll only add that GTRgaz is also on hand to offer answers to questions raised in the thread based on his experience from running this event as well

I'm well on my way to sorting the little issues out regarding drifting the attendance day of the other forums I look after

I can promise that everyone who has posted a request in this thread will be contacted shortly and no one will miss out.

A good point well made and, indeed, a neat summary. To add a little more colour to that and for absolute clarity - Ian (bless him) carries out the mammoth task, on behalf of forum members, of co-ordinating the attendance of the enthusiastic hordes of PHEA and 2 other forums. He is, therefore, the primary point of contact for that, and for transmitting the "orders" for the event. There is a reason for the additional contributions from me or George, which will be about what is or is not permissible at the event. Given the scale of Ian's task (with the sheer numbers from PHEA, let alone other forums!) a bit of direct help with a quick answer saves loads of extra posts adding to the question and, most importantly, saves Ian the time and effort of engaging in e-mail ping pong with the organiser to get answers. Both George and I are closely involved with the host organisation itself and with the organisation of the event, and either of us will know the answer or have a very quick means of finding out. Gtr-gaz is a very helpful addition in respect of the corporate memory and a calming influence.

Thus, if it relates to PHEA attendance, that is wholly Ian's territory. If it relates to what is or is not permissible at the event, then Ian's, mine or George's posts can be taken as equally authoritative. Trust that helps, look forward to seeing everyone there again!

I'm sure this will be a no as it would be up against much bigger things plus it isn't really a car and i could get run over if no-one sees me coming......
What if i was to bring a 250cc gearbox kart? Thing is it doesn't have seat belts and is small. It's quick thought, so that wouldn't be a problem. In the right hands it will lap brands hatch quicker than a touring car and hit 140 mph. Just a thought. If not i will hopefully be coming along in an Elise smile

editted to add this link to give an example of what i'd like to bring if allowed: clicky

There is a youtube video giving an example of how it goes against a lamborghini.... smile
