Still umming and aahing about this. Tempted, but don't know if any of my mates have got their cars built or will be up for it. Not sure how well my measly Octavia RS will fit in amongst the TVRs and Porsches and whatnot. Got to justify the cost of a new set of boots plus tank of fuel etc.
I can put my side from being a novice with a non-typical car (Toyota Camry 2.2 Sport). The atmosphere is very welcoming and non-aggressive, help and advice is available and I loved it! Yes, I did eat a set of tyres but I did 150+ miles on track. Bring some spares to drive home on if that’s a concern. Or buy another set for the day from a breaker's?Run-off areas are huge and the track is long enough that you don’t end up in too much of a traffic jam (and the straight is long enough to clear that once a lap, or allow you to hold back and set your own pace in the twisty bits).
If nothing else it’s great to drive alongside some very impressive machinery and watch it really working in the corners – I still fondly remember the Gordon Keeble last April. Or you can politely ask for a ride with other cars.
Just about to complete my registration for Sunday. Not sure if it would have completed first time as I didn’t put in any Paypal details.

There will be plenty of things your VRS will keep pace with and overtake mate, trust me, I've seen the list and it is a very interesting mix of cars!As others have said, this is an ideal day for a first timer, the vibe is very relaxed and friendly, which is why people come back year after year!
As for boots, there is a mobile tyre fitter on site, so get a set of part worns for your car and get the fitted so you don't trash your daily drivers.

Confirmed as Sunday John.
Your friends can meet you but they must enter the station in you car, as they will be registered as passengers. If they wanted to bring their own car on to the station, they would have to register it as a track car, even if it wasn't going out on track. Otherwise they can not bring their own cars onto the station.
Laurel, your payment has gone through mate, many thanks.

I'll also confirm what others have said, all levels of cars and ability are catered for, it's very informal and relaxing environment. You'll have fun in any car that you takeEdited by giger on Tuesday 1st March 08:13
