Kimbolton Country Fayre. Sunday July 20th.

Well, with Newmarket over and done its time to move onto the next one.

This is a the second year for the PHEA roadshow at this event (website here). Apart from the huge thunderstorm, I believe everyone who attended last year enjoyed the show. There are lots of classic and sports cars, and of course, the country fayre element as well. So something for everyone.

I have 16 passes here and more are available if needed.

There is a £5 per car entrance charge payable on the day for all cars showing, this goes to the organisers charities.

I will need to confirm final numbers at least a week before the show so please let me know as soon as possible. Below are those I already know of.

Hi Simon, hows things ?

Yep no problem with joining us on our stand. I was speaking to Graham Pascoe at Newmarket and he mentioned that this might be a possiblity. I understand that you already have passes, so it would only be a case of moving you stand allocation onto ours I guess.

Let me know in the next couple of weeks if you can and I,ll square it with Mike Norton.

Yep BBQ's definately allowed at this one. Look out for a separate thread nearer the time from our catering manager ! Darren

Welcome aboard Phil. Your now on the Kimbolton list. If you have a look at the 'Events 2008' thread at the top of the East Anglia page you will see the other shows we have lined up along with who to contact (myself or John). Lets us know if anything else takes your fancy.

KIMBOLTON RV & TIMES

Right here are all the details ready for Sunday.

We ideally need to be on site by 10am, so I think the timetable below should just about work. There's usually a bit of a queue to get in of the main road, but nothing too horrendous.

Meeting place

Brampton Hut services at the junction of the A1 / A14 near Huntingdon. Once on the services slip road head for the forecourt on the BP service station.

Times

Meet at the above at 9.00am for 9.15am leave please.

From here its down the A1 to the Buckden roundabout then turn right (B661 / B645) to Kimbolton via the back of Grafham Water.

You will need a pass to get in, I,ll hand these out at the RV point. There's also a charge of £5.00 per car payable as you go in.

Hi Andy. You are most welcome, I still have a couple of passes free so that is no problem. If you don,t mind bringing the gazebo that would be great. Our usual 'gazebo man' can't make this one unfortunately.

Well that's another show to cross off the list for this year.

Thanks to everyone for a really great turn out. A really good mix of cars on our stand this time, and thanks also to the Ultima guys for joining us. An Ultima is always a welcome addition to the stand. The weather just about behaved all day although it could have been a bit warmer.

A big thanks to Andy for bringing the gazebo along in Andrew's absence, and another big thanks to Darren for bringing along the BBQ (along with half his parents kitchen !), also Nigel and Sue who appeared to bring along their local butchers shop !! Did you ever give those last few burgers away Nigel ?

Well it time for me to have a bit of a rest now as the next couple of shows are being dealt with by John.
