Hi all

Have to get the Chimaera MOT'd soon and have never done it before (Mot'd a TVR I mean, I've never had the luxury of a car that didn't need one every year.)

Any particular things I should be aware of, ie: anything specific to the Chimaera or TVRs that our friends in the DVTA seem to have a particular problem with?

Anyone had theirs through the MOT recently?

Thanks

John

Thanks for that. I thought that would be a problem, especially on my car (1994 4.0 Chimaera) as the holder for one of the 2 bulbs is broken so I've only 1 bulb. As long as that's the only specific problem they're worried about I'll not panic. The car had an £800 service by Greg Connolly in late November so everything should be fine. Have you had any feedback about the new emmissions tests introduced in March 1st or will that not affect a 1994 car?

Sorry I didn't make it to your meeting last Sunday, I'm looking forward to any runs you might be organising though. I might even summon up the courage to do a track-day sometime!

I assume details of any runs will be posted here?

Cheers

Thanks again. I'll run up and see Greg.

Enjoy your trip to Kerry, hope everyone gets there & back with no probs.

I'll see you all at your 1st run hopefully.

Cheers

Me again

Anyone have any problems with MOT guys not knowing where to jack car up during test, ie. trying to put jack directly under bodywork or on outriggers?

Or are they all knowledgable enough about cars not to be that daft?

Thanks Stu

It'll be N'ards. I'll make a point of talking to them 1st - probably need to mention the number plate lights etc anyway.

Thanks Colin, that's reassuring.

Has the club any plans for a run over the next couple of weekends?
