That's interesting as that car has been in Palmerston North for many years at a dealers on Rangitiki St. It wasn't the best model for him to have in stock and back then he was running TSW alloys on it which really downclassed it. I'm pretty sure they run differant rim sizes front and rear as well and that it is important as it is how the car was designed chassis wise etc. I'd love to drive a type R model as I've heard and seen that they are quite impressive on the track.

But here's a better NSX but a bit too pricey!

VERY nice. I've heard great things about them but that interior yells JAP IMPORT!

Question: how do you add a link but rename it as you have done with NSX?

Cheers

Yum yum yum... I would have been very tempted by this 8 months ago depending on the actual price for a pure track car...now how could I make it road legal

I wonder what size of pilot fits in there. Looks a little snug.

When you type your message, to the left is a link to formatting codes. The link needed is Hyperlink text|link .

So codes|www.pistonheads.com/gassing/codes.htm without spaces becomes codes

I rang the guy today as curiosity got the better of me. He wasn't set on a price but felt around $30K to be fair price. Asked my thoughts on pricing and he seems to be feeling out the market at the moment.

$110k for a '99 NSX? Come on, you have to be kidding me.... Compare that to the price of MUCH LOWER MILEAGE Esprits... and the NSX was always an inferior car to the esprit... hmm

Except for the ergonomics, and build quality, and reliability, and gearbox, and brakes, and engine (well ok maybe not if we're considering the V8 )

weeping Tut tut Ben where did that flamin outburst come from look what you have done hehe

Well ive been lucky enough to sit in both cars the jappa did nul, nil, 0, nothing, nuet, zero for the ego.....much rather have a Brit car thats a bit different, angular and yes awkward everything. If it were perfect, it would be boring! Nothing wrong with the sound of a carbied four banger either

hehe Just pointing out that the NSX has plenty of good qualities too, and in many peoples opinions is in no way 'inferior' to an Esprit.

They're very different cars though really, I've never been in either but I think the general consensus is that the Esprit has more character while the NSX is a better all-rounder.

Wouldn't say no to either really

As I remember, the early NSXs (especially the autos) weren't anything to write hom about.... by the late '90s, they came right.

Like all Hondas, probably not really worth the time of day unless you plumb for the Type-R version.

Indeed, auto = yuck in general. Have Lotus ever been dumb enough to try selling an auto? Can't imagine their customers being too impressed.

I'm not much of a Honda fan either, the only ones I'd consider owning if I had the money are the S2000 and the NSX (and maybe the Integra typeR if I could get over the whole fwd thing). But there are other cars just as good or better in the same price range anyway, S2000s and Boxsters cross over in price for example.

My old car is up for sale. It was my first 911 and a real beauty. The tartan interior wasn't me but the rest of the car made up for it. We had considered re-upholstering it but didn't want to wreck it's originality. I beat a WRX around the back track at Manfield in this girl
