That's 10 minutes from my house. I'm calling in tomorrow to get the low down on its sale?
They seem to advertise a lot of interesting cars for sale but their car yard doesn't seem the sort to hold the stock. Maybe they're 'in transit' or located off site.
If you go let us know what set-up they have.
For goodness sake this should have come with a warning label EXTREME CAR PORN!
I went all funny and had to have a lie down the first time a saw a Miura for real. Burnt orange color over 20 years ago in CHCH. Sigh nurse another tablet please and put up the screens.
Cheers
Mark

My bonus bonds are not doing well enough to buy any of these cars I keep finding
Any ideas? Lotto, bank robbery...?

Rare and quick :
www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=95546101
Newer equivalent, almost as rare - 600 made rather than 400 (think I prefer the older one though):

ETA:What I mean by quick - I have a Best-Motoring video where in a track test the s204 beats a Skyline GTR Z-tune, Corvette Z06 and Murcielago round 5 laps of Tsukuba raceway. That sort of quick.
Not so rare but still quick lightweight spec:

The wing is an STi carbon fibre job only fitted to the s202 I believe. I guess it does something useful at high speed, IMO the regular STi wing looks better though.
Found an EVO mag review of the s202 here, sounds like they drive pretty good: www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/32227/subaru_impreza_s202_sti.html
One of those pistons would make a nice coffee table decoration wouldn't it
p.s. Do you know what drivetrain bits and pieces they put in the 'regular' bugeye STi? does yours have DCCD or were all the bugeye cars 50/50 torque split? I know the details of the classic shape STi/R/RA etc due to having nearly bought one, never really looked into the bugeyes though.

There are some extra wires under the centre console (I think it's a 9 or 12 pin plug with only 5 wires) but mine has no "DC" for the "DCCD". I also can't turn the ABS off.
My understanding is that a lot of the domestic market ones had various switches removed (or rather never installed) to stop people throwing their Enzo into a concrete barrier
O.k now the Muira,
I emailed a friend who I thought may be interesed in it. He emailed them and I called in to see Dennis. The car is still in Japan. Dennis (car dealer) has a long term business contact in Japan who comes up with some unique pieces from time to time and lets him know. The Miura came up and Dennis has advertised it, I'm guessing on consignment only ie: it sells it come here? I didn't ask much more than that as at $625K my friend felt he was dreaming as he could have a fully restored or mint one out of the UK for $500K landed and complied here in NZ. Ahhh toys

Very nice indeed and I like them, but couldn't justify buying one myself when for $10-15k you can have an STi or Evo which will be just as quick or quicker, and probably more reliable. (And IMO just as much character in the case of the STi. Personal taste I guess though.)

The Escort RS Cosworth is ALWAYS going to be a better bet than any Evo/WRX variant (barring perhaps the 22B) in terms of driving experience.
for $10-$15k you can buy a STi sure, hat'll depreciate like a stone and be worth half that in 3 years time... Escort Cosworths in NZ however tend to sell well and sell high... so much so that they're a pretty static asset and have even APPRECIATED in value in the last year. Sure it's expensive, but it's not going to lose you a bundle of cash. Probably no more expensive to insure than an STi either due to the lower theft risk.
