Hey everyone, i'm new here thought i'd say hi, me is Ben, from Timaru originally but at uni in Dunedin since start of last year.

I drive a 1990 Legacy wagon (student budget doesnt quite stretch to a Porsche), what are the rest of the Kiwis on here using for wheels?

hey cheers for replies, nice to not be ignored

sweet cars, good to see a few subies, looks like the way to go is a sub for something practical and something else for a play-car. Looking forward to finishing study so i can think about affording something fun. (maybe after I pay off the student loan :S )

WOW crazy, what is it with Timaru and petrol?

You'd be right about that Izza, cliffs road/sutherlands road/etc are also rather fun.

oh and taieri beach road, 30 min south of Dunners is about the best road I've ever driven.

When were you at TBHS? I was 7th form 2002 so may have been there at the same time.

yeah gotta agree with that one, highcliff rd is great. taieri beach road starts at waihola (just south of airport turnoff) and heads towards the coast, comes out at taieri mouth. nice twisty gravel, the middle part of it takes the top rally cars about 10 min during the otago rally. havent timed myself yet as when I do I'll probly do something stupid and crash. lol
